If each of your people thought and acted like a business owner during their working day, how much would that add to your bottom line and cash flow?

Great Game’s “ProfitAbility” Business Simulation is a board-based training that brings to life the essential know-how needed to run any business. This interactive course teaches people exactly how profit is made, how cash flow is affected and how each individual can make a difference. Using a unique, board-based financial simulation, participants compete in teams to run the most successful business. Participants will navigate through the monthly sales and delivery cycles and focus on the decisions that really matter – those that impact the financial success of the business.

During this course, teams will use business acumen and strategy to make every decision a business owner would make: how to price their products, which contracts to compete for, how much stock to buy, how to finance investments and how to pay suppliers.

The experiential nature of this course enables participants to absorb and retain information and transfer concepts directly to their workplace in the form of changed behavior.

For-profit businesses of every size and in every industry have been implementing open-book management for the past 25 years. Now, we are taking those lessons learned and introducing them to the nonprofit and public sectors. Leading organizations such as Missouri Southern State University (MSSU), Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks (BBBSO) and Greene County, Missouri have committed and embraced the open-book management principles taught by Great Game as a way to improve their own financial sustainability.

The Great Game of Business, Inc. has expanded our offerings to help public and nonprofit organizations learn how to adapt the proven principles of open-book management to become better stewards and enhance the sustainability of their organizations.

Attend this training to:

  • Discover how The Game can be adapted to fit any organization.
  • Learn from nonprofit, education, and government examples and case studies.
  • Share ideas and challenges with leaders across a variety of organizations.
  • Learn the fundamental principles and practices of open-book management and the proven 10-step approach to implementation.
  • Watch as employees report and forecast company financials during an SRC Company Huddle.
  • Understand how you can apply and sustain open-book practices in your own organization.

Who should attend:

  • CEO/Executive Director/President of nonprofit, public, and government agencies
  • Leadership team members whose CEO is attending or has already attended
  • Board members

Katie Davis of Dream Big Consulting facilitates this training. Katie is the former CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of The Ozarks. Read Katie's blog post titled No Money, No Mission here and watch her present on the main stage at The 25th Annual Gathering of Games here
