THE EDUCATOR'S JOURNEY
At her core, Angie Adamick is a teacher—curious by nature and deeply motivated to help people understand how complex systems work. After earning her MBA from the University of Arkansas, Angie began her career with the State of Arkansas, where she led Global Marketing Support Services. In that role, she helped small manufacturers expand into international markets, translating strategy into action for business owners navigating unfamiliar terrain.
Her path eventually led to higher education, where she spent more than a decade at Drury University’s Breech School of Business. There, she taught management courses for undergraduates, directed the MBA program, and oversaw learning assessment at an AACSB-accredited institution. Her classrooms were known for their energy, storytelling, and practicality—rooted in real decisions rather than abstract theory.
It was during this time that Angie discovered The Great Game of Business®. Although she had taught open-book management from textbooks for years, seeing it as a living, working system was a revelation. Transparency and ownership weren’t just ideas—they were operational realities. Angie began teaching Great Game principles to her students immediately, thinking, “This is the only way to do business. Why isn’t everyone doing this?” In 2019, she brought that conviction directly into organizations as a trainer for The Great Game of Business.
WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK WITH ANGIE
If you’re in a session with Angie, expect intention, energy, and deep respect for the people in the room. She doesn’t just show up to teach—she shows up to learn. Angie often arrives well before a session begins, walking the floor, meeting people where they work, and listening closely to how the business runs. That preparation helps her learn the organization’s language, which is critical to earning trust and turning skepticism into engagement.
In an early engagement, a CFO warned Angie not to expect buy-in. The team, he said, was worn out by what they called the owner’s “gimmick of the month.” Undeterred, Angie spent the morning building relationships on the shop floor. By the end of the session, skepticism had shifted to curiosity—and the same CFO became one of the Great Game’s strongest champions.
Clients often say Angie doesn’t “deliver content.” She creates grounded, relevant conversations—whether she’s working with frontline employees or senior leaders. She welcomes tough questions, never talks down to a room, and makes sure people leave understanding exactly how their daily actions move the scoreboard. For Angie, this work is the most honest way she knows to teach people how business works—so they can succeed together.
OFF THE CLOCK
Outside of work, Angie values experiences over possessions. She and her husband, Brandon, are avid travelers and food lovers, and Greece holds a particularly special place in their hearts. She is also deeply committed to her community, having supported the YMCA for more than 25 years and currently serving as Vice Chair of the Ozarks Regional YMCA Board.
