Evergreen Cooperatives is a family of worker-owned cooperatives that includes the Evergreen Cooperative Laundry and Green City Growers. It was launched in 2008 by a working group of Cleveland-based institutions—including the Cleveland Foundation, the Cleveland Clinic, University Hospitals, Case Western Reserve University, and the municipal government. The goal of the Evergreen Cooperative Initiative, also known as the “Cleveland Model”, according to the Cleveland Foundation’s President/CEO and Evergreen Board Chairman, Ronn Richard is: “equitable wealth creation at scale.”
HLB Lighting Design is the largest independent architectural lighting design firm in North America. HLB, which got its start in 1968, is an acronym for the last names of the three of the founders of the firm Barbara Horton, Stephen Lees, and Teal Brogden. While the firm’s original office was in New York City, the firm has since expanded with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, Denver, and Austin. They also employ other remote workers who are deployed across the country.

Superior Restoration primarily provides water and fire restoration services—though it has more recently added coronavirus disinfecting and sanitizing services. The company was founded as a mobile carpet cleaning service in 2010 by Skylar Lewis before he later pivoted to offering higher-margin restoration work.
Victory Mission + Ministry provides outreach and restoration to those in need. Individuals can receive a day's worth of food at the mobile food pantry, clothing items, access to case management, classes, and counseling services, and men’s short- or long-term shelter. When individuals come for food, clothing, and shelter, Victory wants to develop relationships that encourage life change and restoration. Victory believes everyone has a name, a story, and great potential. The ministry wants those in the restoration program to live in a supportive community with high quality employment. Victory’s mission is: “We share God’s love through intentional relationships for the restoration of a brokenhearted world.”
